Statement from Capitol Hill Healthcare on confirmed COVID-19 case

Montgomery, Ala. — Capitol Hill Healthcare has learned that one of our residents tested positive for COVID-19. The resident went to a local hospital on March 26 and was tested there. The resident is still in the hospital’s care and has been receiving excellent medical treatment. At this time, our heartfelt thoughts are with this resident and their loved ones.

Per guidance from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Capitol Hill has initiated all recommended preventive interventions. We will continue monitoring all residents and employees.

We recognize this is a difficult time for us all. We are grateful for the support of our community and our dedicated staff of professionals. Please know that the protection of our residents and staff is our main priority and we will continue to follow the guidance of our state and federal health agencies to keep them as safe as possible.
